Przemysław Kazienko, Ph.D. is a full professor and leader of ENGINE – the European Centre for Data Science at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, Poland. He authored over 200 research papers, including 40 in journals with IF related to sentiment analysis, social network analysis, spread of influence, machine learning, knowledge management, recommender systems, information retrieval, and data security. He gave 20 keynote/invited talks and served and served as a co-chair of 20+ international scientific conferences/workshops. He is an IEEE Senior Member, a member of the editorial board of several journals, and the board member of Network Science Society.
Emotion Recognition Using Wearables: Advances and Challenges
Wearables like smartwatches or wrist bands equipped with pervasive sensors enable us to monitor our physiological signals. We address the question whether they can help us to recognize our emotions in our everyday life. Using the systematic literature review, we identiﬁed crucial research steps, discussed the main limitations and challenges in this interdisciplinary domain.
